Wisdom is a gift from God and a value to acquire. By biblical prescription, an unabated fear of God can propel the effusion and acquisition of wisdom. Moreover, you cannot get wisdom without instruction. Wisdom then I say, is a product of knowledge plus understanding. Knowledge is what you know based on acquired information, but understanding is the comprehension of the information you have acquired, it is the expression of knowledge. Undeniably, you can be delivered by what you know and be oppressed by what you don’t know; likewise, you can be transformed by what you know and be deformed by what you don’t know. The fear of God is what gives birth to wisdom, which implies that we can express our fear for God by simply obeying His instructions. In this context, the Hebrew word for wisdom is “sekel”, meaning INSIGHT.
A revelator once said, “The greatest acceleration a man can ever experience is by personal revelation.” Take note that what is revealed to you is what is restored to you. This then clearly elucidates the fact that the difference between the fool and the wise is their acquisition and application of knowledge; the inability of a fool to possess the intrinsic value of a wise man is what places him in his own class. Likewise, the difference between an adult and a toddler is knowledge, which further establish the fact that a man can be “of age” and still be “of fool,” you can be at forty and still be a dummy, you may look like an adult on the inside but live as a kid on the inside. Your internal value is what controls your external conducts; and your capacity to deliver is a dependent factor on your capacity to receive.
And I personally believe that wisdom is not given by age, neither is it inherent by race, but it is given by grace. Mind you, your age or race does not determine your grace. But your grace determines your race.
More so, it feels good to be instructed by God than to be corrected by Him. Correction is an alternative solution to failure. To be corrected by God is as a result of failure to heed to instruction. Instructions give way to direction, and directions lead to the right destination. God’s intent is to counsel, guide and instruct man in the way he should go. However, when a man rejects God’s instruction, he rejects God’s direction, and to reject God’s direction is to face destruction.
According to Fela Durotoye, one of Africa’s most sought after speaker, “you will always pay people for what you don’t know, but people will only pay you for what you know.” In addition, to become a fool is to despise instruction and correction. The old book says and I quote, “my son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother.” Jokingly speaking, for you to go far in life, you need a father (instruction), but for you to know more you need a mother (law). You cannot have a father without a mother, and the more you know the farther you go.
In conclusion, it is good to be aware, it is better to be informed, but it is best to be wise. Exploit thrives on the wings of decision, and quality decision is a function of wisdom. Knowledge get you informed, but wisdom makes you relevant. Knowledge keeps you, but wisdom makes you. Pursue knowledge, embrace understanding, but in all thy getting, get Wisdom!!!

POSITIVE THINKING (part 1)
The basic idea of this article is to demonstrate how our thoughts, attitude and beliefs make up our life. It is not a magic but a principle, that no individual can be better than his or her thought. Everyone can move from failure to success and from lack to abundance by their thought. Your thought is who you are, and who you are is as a result of your thought. We all grow at the pace of our thought, by the virtue of our thought we are the maker of ourselves. Whatever you are now is as a result of who you are on the inside.
The ancient book says, “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he.” Literally, a man becomes his thought. Your thought is a reflection of your inner man; it is a reflection of who you are on the inside, which ultimately forms your character. If you really want to change you; first, let there be a change on your inside, because what you see on the inside, is the total sum of what you are on the outsides.
According to the words of Obafemi, One of Africa’s foremost speakers, “Life is not measured per year, it is measured per second. But the quality of life is not measured per second, it is measured per thought.”
The aphorism “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor my ways your ways.’’ No one can rise above the level of his or her thought, Frankly speaking, the quality of the thought that flow through your mind determines the quality of your life. Whatever we become is first created in our mind. I strongly believe that the only difference between the poor and the rich is the state of their mind. Every word that a man pronounces is a product of his thought. I think words are fruits that grow out of our thoughts.
I am yet to discover a man that succeeded without thinking. In thought man builds himself, and in the same way man destroys himself. We are the master of our thought, and the molder of our character, and the one who determines our destiny. The law of thought state that to change you, you must first change your thought.
