VISION RULES THE WORLD

We are in the world where people mistake purpose and mission for vision, break the scripture with our culture, and turn journeys into destinations.
Permit me to say that it is only human beings that have visions which can speak the things that be not as though they were. Check out the likes of Martin Luther king, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Bishop David Oyedepo (Covenant University), Fela Durotoye… what all these people have in common is that, vision took them there before they were there physically, they lived in the reality of their vision before it became their vicinity.
It is only vision that permits you to live the future while still in the present. To a man without a vision, the past determines his present; but the man carrying a vision sees the end from the beginning. A man with vision doesn’t have need for a seer. God wants you to have sight, but never live by your sight. Live by insight which the word of God provides.
A life without a vision is a life without a mission (assignment), and a life without mission is life that’s set out for confusion and frustration in the presence of opposition. Vision is the source and hope of life, your hope comes from your vision. Vision is the source of confidence. The greatest gift ever given to mankind is not the gift of sight, but the gift of vision. The moment you stop seeing the future on the inside, you start dying on the outside.
I have discovered that life is measured per second not per year; but the quality of life is measure per thought, not per second. You are a product of your thoughts. Sight is a function of the eyes, but vision is a function of the heart. Don’t trust your eyes but trust your heart. Remember this, ‘’eyes that look are common, but eyes that see are rare’’.
There’s nothing noble or noteworthy on earth that is not a product of vision. African nations are suffering at large because we are not aligned with the present age and dispensation; Africa is the poorest continent, not because we lack natural resources, but because we lack supernatural resources and a deep understanding of what’s essential for national growth. There’s an American dream, where is the Nigerian dream? The reason for New York was because there was Old York; vision is what gave birth to New York. Your present is a reflection of your past, but your future is the end-product of your present.
African countries will maintain their present status quo until they stop breaking basic principles that govern success. Anytime a country or a man stops leaving on vision, he starts living under depression. The change in Lagos state, Nigeria is as a result of vision not ambition. Let me make this clear that there is a difference between a leader and a politician. One leads whiles the other rules. Leadership deals with vision, rulership deals with ambition. Vision is what makes a leader, the vision of a leader is what informs or bring about transformation. Vision gives birth to inventions that transform lives.
It was the vision of a desk-sized computer that inspired Steve Jobs to invent the desktop computer, it was the vision of light that possessed Thomas Edison to invent the light bulb, it was the vision of flight that motivated the Wright brothers to invent the airplane; and it was the vision of Bill gate that birth the most influential software company in the world, Microsoft.
What you don’t know will affect your economic future. It is not what we get that makes us valuable, it is what we become. There’s a huge difference between becoming anything and becoming something. People who strive to become anything end up becoming nothing. Becoming anything is a function of sight, but becoming something is a function of vision.
Vision births ideas, and ideas birth value, and value is what is transformed to wealth. You can sell an idea, but you can’t sell a vision. They say ‘’what is worth living for is worth dying for’’, but the only thing that worth living for without the requirement of death is vision. Your vision preserves you. Even in the midst of the most turbulent storm, your vision is what presents you life and replace the fear of dying with the courage of living. If you can see it, believe me, you can live for it. “Before you can get there, you must see there.”
It is vision that keeps the earth rotating, it is what makes plants grow, and it is what also sustains reproduction. Our home needs vision, our family needs vision, and our churches need vision. You need vision!
Our nation today is in desperate need of vision. The challenge of our nation demands men and women who will see beyond the endured present into a preferred future, people with the skill to transform vision into reality, and with the courage to inspire others to do the same.
I am yet to see a nation that will survive without a vision. Any individual that tries to acquire wealth or success by ambition is clearly heading for destruction. The wise King of Israel, King Solomon affirmed in the book of proverbs that “where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Prov. 29:18) Where there’s no revelation of the future, people tend to live in darkness. And to churches or ministries existing without vision, very soon people will start leaving to another parish. When a parish doesn’t have a vision, it will perish.
Every individual is designed to make a difference in their generation; you are born to lead, to achieve something great. But your vision awaits your action. Live by insight(hincyt), not by outsight. Let the unseen in you propel you to see beyond the seen and put you on the scene. If you can picture it, then you can print it out. The future you cannot picture, you cannot feature. And the moment you stop seeing the future, you start dying in the present.
This book is designed to challenge you to live a vision-driving life, to discover and redefine, and to understand the power of vision. It will help you to see beyond what you are called to do. You cannot be better or greater than your vision. Believe in your vision, and act on it. Your greatest asset lies within you, but your greatest adversary lies around you; your best days are not ahead of you but right inside your vision, they lie within you. Challenge yourself, get inspired so that you won’t expire, get informed so that you won’t be deformed. Your vision is more real than your present realities. Don’t trust your eyes.
